On the occasion of Children’s Day (October 8), Mellat Bank is donating books to working children at Tehran’s Imam Ali Socio-Cultural Complex, west Hemmat Highway.The measure seeks to promote education among children at the workplace, and encourage a reading culture among them, reports the bank’s website. ‘Happy Children’ is the slogan of the event that is in line with the “book reading nation” plan, a scheme by Mellat Foundation (which undertakes the bank’s social responsibilities) that aims to create a collective momentum for reading among Iranians.
