Rangers in Golestan National Park, Golestan Province recently spotted the Asiatic cheetah for the first time in 40 years. A group of experts have been sent to the park for further investigation and to install tele-cameras, IRNA reported. Asiatic cheetah is an endangered species. The latest reports indicate there are 50 such cheetahs in the country.
