The Sixth Congress on Family and Sexual Health, will be held December 23-25 at Tehran’s Eivan-e Shams Hall. Event secretary Dr. Mohammad Baqer Saberi pointed to sexual dysfunction as one of the main causes of the rising divorce rate in Iran. “Family is an important institution in society and we are looking to strengthen its pillars,” he said, reports ISNA The congress will address the issue and familial bonds. “Lack of treatment centers has driven people to seek help from non-professionals,” Saberi said. “Untreated sexual problems could lead to HIV, addiction, divorce and other social ills,” he warned.
