Freshers at all education levels will receive health booklets from the new academic year (starts September 23).

The booklets contain relevant information about the physical, developmental, intellectual, personal, social and environmental factors that affect a student’s health and education, said Hamid Yaghoubi, head of Health Counseling at Student Affairs Organization,  Ministry of Science, Research and Technology.

Students will be examined and evaluated psychologically and medically during the preliminary health screening. Those requiring further health checks will be sent to a special counseling center. All the 110 public universities in the country have counseling units. Academic institutions that don’t have counseling units are linked to a health center, reports Borna News Agency.

It is estimated that more than 100,000 students in public universities will receive the health booklets.
