Two delegations from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and the Max Planck Institute in Germany arrived in Tehran on Sunday, said deputy science minister for international affairs Hossein Salar Amoli.
“During their three-day visit, the delegations will visit universities to assess the grounds for future collaboration,” he was quoted by Mehr News Agency as saying.
The two sides will explore mutual cooperation and prospects for joint research programs.
Max Planck Institute has 83 research centers in Germany where Iranian scholars can carry out proposed joint projects.
