About 100 public hospitals will be turned into special centers for trauma or life threatening health conditions caused by unforeseen accidents, said Amin Saberi-Nia, head of Emergency Medical Services. A major revamp is underway to promote emergency care. Providing bigger emergency rooms and modernization of equipment has been taken up at 120 medical centers at a cost of $75.8 million. Further, hospitals have been instructed to reform emergency services to render timely care, he said, reports IRNA.
