The Social Security Organization spent $970 million to provide services under the Health Reform Plan to insured people last year (ended March 20), said Mahdi Derakhshan, director general of SSO’s Direct Care and Treatment Department. “Before implementing health reforms, the cost of medical tariffs at hospitals contracted by the SSO were much higher,” IRNA quoted him as saying.   The Health Reform Plan was launched in May 2014.
