Undercover inspectors are at work on bus fleets, said Col. Mohammad Hossein Hamidi, traffic police chief. “In addition to checking speed at every terminal, passengers can inform the police of any violation of rules via text messages. Our inspectors are present on selected buses to report any misdemeanors,” ISNA quoted him as saying. All public transport is screened at bus terminals and the respective guild will face legal action, besides drivers for violations, he said.
