Most Tehranis don’t use Ticket Vending Machines (TVMs) to purchase subway tickets; they prefer to buy them from metro counters, said Ali Abdollahpour, technical deputy head of Tehran Metro.
“At present, there are 76 TVMs in several subway stations, but unfortunately people don’t use them,” ISNA quoted him as saying. TVMs are easy and convenient to use.
More than 80% of global commuters use machines and don’t stand in long queues at counters, unless they have a question to ask on subway schedules.
