Young and veteran chemists were commended at the 18th Iranian Chemistry Congress that concluded at Semnan University in Semnan Province, on Tuesday. “As the university has over 1,200 students in the subject, the province has the potential to become a chemistry hub in Iran,” said vice-chancellor Dr. Ali Haqiqi at the congress opening, reports Borna News Agency. The three-day event sought to promote scientific and intellectual exchange among scholars and create a platform for sharing experiences. Head of Iranian Chemical Society Prof. Mohammad Ali Zolfigol and Prof. Isa Yavari, attended the confab. A book ‘Chemistry Pioneers of Iran’ was unveiled.
