More than 11,000 varsity students residing in Tehran University’s dormitory complex are being trained in waste separation and recycling by the Waste Management Office of Municipal District 6.

“In line with the theme ‘Blue Sky, Clean Earth’, the office has launched a project in cooperation with Tehran’s Waste Management Organization to encourage waste segregation from homes,” said head of the office Mehdi Kaveh. After its successful trial run in the central campus of the university last year, it was restarted three months ago in the dormitory complex.

A number of brochures on the subject have been distributed among students, reports Borna News Agency.
