More than 2,000 health teams have been sent to underprivileged and remote areas in the country since last august, said Farahnaz Rafe, deputy for volunteer affairs at the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS). Various healthcare services were offered including screening tests, disease prevention training and interventions to prevent disability, IRNA quoted her as saying. Nearly 1.8 million benefited from the services.
