First 1,000-Bed Nuclear Hospital

Iran’s first 1,000-bed nuclear hospital is to be constructed in Tehran, Health Minister Hassan Hashemi announced on Tuesday.
The hospital with modern technologies will be constructed in Velayat Park in southwest Tehran, he told IRNA.
Providing advanced services to treat refractory diseases is one of the major objectives of the hospital, said Hashemi, who is also an ophthalmologist and associate professor at Tehran University of Medical Sciences.
He added that the hospital would be managed by the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) and will operate with the latest technologies.
