Weight gain and vitamin deficiency among students are the consequences of poor nutrition in schools. Fruits are the best snacks for school children, said Dr. Masoud Kimiagar, nutrition specialist.
Malnutrition interferes with students learning process and ability to concentrate in the classroom.
He recommended fruits, bread and cheese with vegetables, walnut and tomatoes as essential diet for school-going children.
