The national document on children’s rights protection is in the final stages of review and will be implemented from the next calendar year (starting March 21, 2015), said Mozaffar Alvandi, secretary of Iran Council for Children’s Rights.
The document has taken into account the relevant organization’s tasks in other countries with regard to better implementation of the law on protecting children’s rights.
Iran is party to the International Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) since 1993. At the convention meetings, issues of education, protection and development of children are discussed.
