‘Nature Bridge’ is the country’s biggest non-automotive bridge constructed in Abbas Abad district. It is one of the capital’s most significant urban management projects. This premier steel structure also displays Iranian expertise and talent.
The bridge consists of 14,000 steel pieces, weighing 2000 tons, and is located at a height of 40 meters above ground level in the heart of the capital’s most beautiful green spaces, reports Mehr news agency.
The bridge is built and designed only for pedestrians and bicyclists use, which indicates ‘human-centered’ focus of the project.
The three-level bridge connects Taleghani and Banader Parks, and hosts several galleries and restaurants and more than 1,400 square meters of horizontal and vertical green spaces.
The bridge construction is a step towards respecting pedestrian rights, as in most of the city’s urban areas, vehicle rights precede pedestrian rights.
