Special cancer centers will be set up soon all over the country, said Health Minister Hassan Ghazizadeh Hashemi. “To provide convenient access to healthcare, 200 Comprehensive Cancer Centers will be established with different specialty levels,” he said at a function on the eve of National Doctor’s Day (August 23) in Qom Province, IRNA reported. These facilities must demonstrate expertise in laboratory, clinical, and behavioral research. They are also expected to initiate and conduct early phase, innovative clinical trials. They must also conduct activities in outreach and education, and provide information on advances in healthcare for both healthcare professionals and the public.
