In a meeting with Ecuador’s Minister for Public Health Carina Vance on Saturday, head of Iranian Red Crescent Society Seyyed Amir Mohsen Ziaei, pointed to the expansion of cooperation between IRCS and Ecuador’s Red Cross.
“Launching of the hemodialysis unit in Ecuador, holding short-term training for doctors and specialists and programs for rehabilitation of disabled people, sharing experiences in the field of orthotics and prosthetics and the possibility of producing high-quality medicines in Iran, are among the areas of cooperation between the two sides.
He said at present, more than 20 countries are using IRCS capabilities and services to train technicians and experts and also to produce equipment and drugs, Mehr News Agency reported. Vance said effective cooperation is needed to provide assistance and facilitate delivery of relief aid to people in need.
