More than 19 tons of different kinds of illegal drugs, including 15 tons of opium were seized in the past two weeks, said Asadollah Hadinezhad, deputy at Iran Drug Control Headquarters (IDCH). The average quantity of drugs seized per police operation was 26 kg, ISNA quoted him as saying. Sistan-Baluchestan (37%) saw the highest seizure followed by Tehran, Kerman, Fars, Isfahan, Hormozgan, South Khorasan and Yazd, respectively.
