The passport application process is digitized as of August 1, and applications are now issued via internet or intranet networks. “In cooperation with the Immigration Police at the Law Enforcement Forces, the traditional process of filling applications by hand has been replaced with online services, and will soon be available in all e-police (police+10) offices across the country,” said Mahmoud Rahimzadeh, director of Police E-Services. Applicants will be charged the same fee for the online forms which can be purchased by using national ID numbers, IRNA reported.
