The Education Ministry’s recruitment exam for teachers will be held on September 18. From among 3073 teachers to be recruited, 2443 are male and 630 are female, the Persian language newspaper ‘Iran’ reported. The figures indicate that the ministry plans to increase the proportion of male teachers to establish a balance between the number of male and female teachers. At present, schools have a higher proportion of female teachers (70%).
