Iran claimed 5th place in the 47th International Chemistry Olympiad that was held July 20-29 in Baku, Azerbaijan, said Hassan Saei, deputy head of Iran Young Scientists Club. “The Iranian team received a gold medal, two silvers, and one bronze during the competition,” he said, quoted by Borna News Agency. The ICHO is an annual academic competition for high school students. It is one of the international science Olympiads.
