The first market to offer red meat products by nomadic tribes officially opened in Tehran in cooperation with the Nomadic Cooperative Association.
“The market was created to support tribal produce and remove intermediaries,” said Karamali Ghandali, head of Iran Nomad Affairs Organization (INAO), at the inauguration ceremony.
Organic produce will be available for the public directly through pastoralists at reasonable prices, which would be 10-15% cheaper than other markets, reports ISNA. “More such marketplaces will be established across the country so people will have access to healthy red meat.” The market is located next to INAO building at Palestine Square.
