The demolition of 58 illegal constructions, including 11 restaurants, along the banks of the River Kan, have been ordered by Tehran Governor Issa Farhadi, who set up a committee following the recent flooding in Kan District in northwest Tehran which caused heavy damage and losses. Action will be taken on illegal constructions within the next two weeks, the Persian language ‘Iran” newspaper quoted him as saying.
