The Education Ministry and the Iranian Prisons Organization signed a memorandum of understanding to provide educational facilities for prisoners, said Education Minister Ali Asghar Fani. “The MoU aims to promote education and culture among prisoners and their families as well as providing appropriate leisure activities to ensure a better deal in society for ex-convicts,” he said, reports ISNA. A number of organizations affiliated to the ministry including the Technical and Vocational Training Organization will participate in the project.
