The PhD entrance exams will be held twice a year in October and February from the next Iranian year (starts March 21, 2016).
“Based on the new method, students who score acceptable grades in the exam will go through interviews or procedural exams according to the capacity of each faculty,” Khabaronline quoted deputy minister of science, research and technology Dr. Mojtaba Shariati Niasar, as saying.
He said similar academic fields will be integrated for the purpose of a common exam and the current number of 272 exam fields will be reduced to less than 70.
