More than 12 tons of drugs were seized from drug cartels in the southeast border areas in the first three months of the Iranian year (started March 21), said Gen. Rahambakhsh Habibi, commander of border patrol forces. “Our border forces arrested 45 members of a drug cartel and seized 21 vehicles in which 12 tons of different types of drugs including heroine, morphine, crack, opium and hashish were skillfully hidden,” Mehr News Agency quoted him as saying.
