The secretariat of the ISO (International Organization for Standardization) Ergonomics Technical Committee has been established in cooperation with the Iranian National Standards Organization and Tehran’s University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences.
“The committee is one of the oldest in the ISO but had no secretariat to put forth suggestions to the international organization or participate in events,” IRNA quoted Hamid Reza Mokhtarinia, director of the university’s ergonomics school, as saying.
The committee deals with setting international management standards to optimize services for people’s well-being.
Currently, Iran and 28 countries are observer members of the technical committee with 30 active member states.
