Based on the Comprehensive Plan to Support the Disabled, the government has tasked the Management and Planning Organization to include payment of minimum wage set by the Labor Ministry for the disabled unable to work, in the annual budget of the State Welfare Organization, said Anoushiravan Mohseni Bandpei, head of the SWO. The Comprehensive Plan to Support the Disabled was ratified last year (ended March 20) to address all issues concerning the disabled. “Laying the proper groundwork for employment, legal support, insurance and empowerment services and establishing a high coordinating council for the disabled are on the agenda,” he said, ISNA reported.
