There is no ‘national organic logo’ yet and any claim about the organic status of products is illegal and not approved by the National Accreditation Center of Iran, said Alireza Khaki Firouz, head of the center. “The center has decided to design a special label for organic products within the next two years, after development of a set of standards for growing, storage, processing, packaging and shipping of organic foods, beverages and cosmetics,” he said, quoted by IRNA.
