A Tehran charity ‘Mehrab Afarinan’ has built 150 public toilets across the city to improve urban sanitation services, Khabaronline reported.  Amir Reza Hadi, a board member of the charity, said as there were inadequate public restrooms for visitors and locals, a number of philanthropists came forward to take action to help resolve the problem. The percentage of the population having access to improvised sanitation facilities is 93% in Iran. The figure is 100, 97, 74, 72 and 44 in Germany, Turkey, China, Pakistan and Afghanistan, respectively, according to The World Bank.
