The first airline for air medical services is to be launched in the country soon, said Dr. Nasser Charkhsaz, deputy head of the Iranian Red Crescent Society’s Relief and Rescue Division.
“The IRCS and Mahan Airlines signed an agreement to provide timely, efficient and effective emergency services,” he said, ISNA reported.
Mahan Airlines will provide IRCS an aircraft and the society will train the crew and staff, as well as equip the aircraft with specialized medical devices and a professional medical team, Charkhsaz said.
