Top 10 medicine students from the national medical schools will be accepted in the traditional medicine specialty course without having to take the competitive exam, said Dr. Abdollah Bahrami, an official of the Ministry of Health and Medical Education. There are 11 traditional medicine schools in the country, of which four are in Tehran. The others are in Mashhad, Shiraz, Isfahan, Yazd, Kerman, Babol and Tabriz, he said, quoted by IRNA. The first traditional medicine school opened in 2007.
