University Entrance Exams

Students are competing in university entrance exams for admission to undergraduate courses in state universities from June 11-13 across the country.  The Iranian University Entrance Exam also known as the ‘Konkoor’ is a standardized test used as one of the yardsticks to gain admission to higher education in Iran, Mehr News Agency reported. The academic future of more than 877,835 students (153,000 less than the previous year) is determined based on their score in the exam. While 58% of examinees are female, 42% are male.
