Huge tidal waves 3.5 to 4 meters high in Chabahar, north of the Gulf of Oman on June 9 were due to the Ashuba tropical storm, said Ali Molla Shahi, an official of Sistan-Baluchestan weather forecasting department. The storm will last three days.  The storm is moving towards the coast of Sistan-Baluchistan Province and the wind speed is more than 80 km per hour, IRNA reported.  Given the severity of the storm, he advised fishermen and sailors not to venture into the deep seas along the provincial southern coast. He also advised people to avoid the storm path.
