A pilot project to screen elderly people for Alzheimer’s disease is to be undertaken in Tehran in cooperation with the Iran Alzheimer’s Association and the police force, said Farid Barati Sedeh, secretary of the National Council for the Elderly. “Senior citizens with Alzheimer’s will be identified and reported to the police so as to take immediate action in case they go missing,” he said, Mehr News Agency reported.
