Local markets are part of Iranian tradition and are held on different days of the week in different areas of the country in spring and summer. The markets are common in the northern part of the country, including Mazandaran and Gilan Provinces. Daboudasht in Mazandaran Province has its local market on Fridays, Mehr News Agency reported. Fresh agricultural produce and medicinal herbs are directly sold to customers at these traditional markets.
