Twenty-five Iraqi tourists were killed and 15 others were injured when a Scania bus plunged 820 feet (250 meters) into a valley near Siah-Bisheh dam, Mazandaran Province, on Tuesday, said Mehdi Valipour, head of Mazandaran Red Crescent Society. The injured were sent to hospitals in the nearby cities of Chalus and Nour. The accident appears to have been caused by a brake malfunction, IRNA quoted him as saying.
