Nurses Oppose Paramedics’ Plan

The plan to train 10,000 paramedics to compensate for the insufficient number of nurses proposed by the ministry of health and medical education, is facing opposition from the Iranian Nursing Organization (INO).

At a meeting with health ministry officials, the INO officially rejected the proposal, said Ahmad Nejatian, deputy of the organization.

The ministry had made the proposal to meet the insufficient number of nurses per hospital bed. It also has plans to increase the number of beds in the current year, ILNA reports.
