The 5th Caspian Youth Summit will commence in Chalus, Mazandaran Province, on May 26 and run till June 1 with representatives from Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Russia and Iran. “The summit will promote the role of youth as cultural ambassadors and encourage peaceful dialogue among nations,” Rouhollah Modabber, spokesperson for this year’s National Youth Week (May 28-June 3), was quoted as saying by ISNA. “Caspian Sea, Sea of Peace and Development” is the slogan for the event, which seeks to harness youth potential “to develop violence-free strategies.”
