Bus and subway fare will be reduced by 50% for students in Tehran and it will be free for children under seven years of age, based on a bill passed by the Tehran City Council, said deputy mayor for transportation Seyyed Jafar Tashakkori-Hashemi.
“A child-loving city is not an empty slogan, but a place where children enjoy safety and security as much as other citizens, and where their rights are upheld by drivers and older people,” he said, at a meeting at the transportation deputy office on the subject of “Turning Tehran into a child-loving city,” reports ISNA.
