The 1st international and 9th national Biotechnology Congress with experts from Iran and outside will be held from May 24-26 in Tehran at Shahid Beheshti University International Conferences Center. Congress director Kasra Esfehani said the latest scientific findings in the field of biotechnology as well as the existing concerns and issues will be the topic of discussions during the two-day event. The congress is hosted by the Biotechnology Society of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mehr News Agency reported. Pharmaceutical biotechnology has made great advances to the extent that Iran is exporting biotech medicinal drugs including to Europe. Contracts for tech transfer to other countries have also been signed, he added.
