Insurance companies Moallem, Iran and Atieh Sazan are negotiating terms of a contract for the teachers ‘Golden Insurance’ plan. As the efforts are focused on reducing teachers’ contribution, two packages of $3 and $4 (100,000 and 150,000 rials) have been envisaged, said Esfandiar Chaharband, deputy at the ministry of education in Tehran, reports Mehr News Agency. Depending on the services offered by the selected insurance company, government will have to pay part of the insurance premium; “however, the minimum contribution by the government per teacher is expected to be $4 (150,000 rials),” he added.
