The first medical waste incinerator will be established on the outskirts of Tehran, said Mojtaba Abdollahi, deputy for urban services at Tehran Municipality. “The municipality will finance 50% of the incinerator costs, while the remaining will be provided by the ministry of health and medical education, Mehr News Agency reported. The matter will be discussed at the Tehran City Council, and the municipality “will cooperate in collecting medical waste in the capital.”
