The government is holding talks to admit more students from different countries, says minister of science, research and technology, Dr. Mohammad Farhadi. At present there are 35,000 foreign students from 123 countries in different Iranian universities, of which students from 97 countries are in universities approved by the ministry of science,” Farhadi said, at the 13th Foreign Students Graduation Ceremony, and the 8th Festival of World Cultures at Shiraz University, ISNA reports.
In addition to establishing foreign students’ affairs department in each university, an online system is underway to facilitate admission and visa procedures for foreign students, interested to explore higher education and research activities in Iran.
