Maternity leave has been extended to nine months from the previous six by the Court of Administrative Justice. The government was allowed to increase the period of maternity leave for mothers employed in state or private sectors to nine months with pay and all other benefits as per Article 2 of the amendment to the Family and Population Control Regulations Act ratified in 2013, Mehr News Agency reported.
