Minister of health and medical education Hassan Hashemi is participating in the 68th session of the World Health Assembly (WHA) that is to take place in the United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG), Switzerland from May 18–26. “The Iranian delegation will actively participate in this year’s session,” said director-general for international affairs at the ministry Dr. Mohsen Asadi-Lari, Mehr News Agency reported.
During his visit the minister will have joint meetings with general director of World Health Organization Margaret Chan, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, health ministers from a number of nations, and Iranian experts residing in Switzerland.
