The shortage of judicial staff in Tehran’s judiciary department at the ministry of justice is overwhelming, says department chief Gholamhossein Esmaili.

Provisional measures taken so far include relocating excess staff from other sections to the department, but this has addressed only part of the problem.  Earlier, judiciary chief Sadeq Larijani had called for maintaining the staff level on par with the required number necessary to handle law cases in the ministry, IRNA reports.

Esmaili noted that promotion of judicial services and ethical values are the main objectives of the ministry. Staff shortage at justice department has led to the accumulation of files in the 66 tribunal courts of Tehran Province, he said.
