Projects in rural areas through women’s cooperatives in collaboration with the Center for Development of Rural and Deprived regions is on the agenda of the Tehran governor general’s office, said Zahra Saei, head of women’s affairs at the office. Rural women who are interested in setting up cooperatives and launching entrepreneurship projects can apply for start-up facilities, ISNA quoted her as saying. “Successful establishment of women’s cooperatives is contingent on the respective governorate’s ability to assimilate villagers’ interest and cooperation,” she said.
