For the first time, Iran will host the women’s grand prix chess tournaments in the coming months, said Amir Hosseini, director of the Iran Chess Federation. The initial agreement on Iran as the host of the tournaments has been approved and George Berg, CEO of the World Chess Federation will visit next week to sign the contracts, he said, reports IRNA.
